At Solar CITIES e.V. we pride ourselves as being innovators in two domains in the so-called "developed" world.  One is the creation of "basement biodigesters" (covered in another article).  The other is the creation of "backyard biodigesters".  Depending on the space you have, you can opt for either or both (we've also done rooftop biodigesters and porch-based biodigesters and laboratory biodigesters and even bathroom biodigesters!).  The picture above shows our most recent 'backyard' biodigester at the home of Janice Kelsey who is using hers not just to fertilize the garden and give gas for backyard barbecues, but to give liquid nutrition to her tower gardens (Vertcal Aeroponics).  This system started producing its first gas on the 4th of July!
